Barbeito Method
Study at a Spanish university
Your whole path to university in one place.
Getting into a Spanish university requires mastering the language and passing the admission tests. At our Valladolid centre we work on both goals at the same time with our own method: the Barbeito Method.
One course, two goals
The course brings together, in one plan, reaching the B2 level of Spanish required for admission to Spanish universities and preparing for the PCE of the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), which are essential to secure your place.

Frequently asked questions
What people usually ask us.
What level of Spanish do I need to study at a Spanish university?
The course is aimed at the B2 level of Spanish, which Spanish universities require for admission. In the trial lesson we assess your real level and map out the path to get there.
What are the PCE?
UNED’s Specific Skills Tests (Pruebas de Competencias Específicas, UNEDasiss): the exams you must sit to secure your place at a Spanish university.
Do I have to prepare Spanish and the PCE separately?
No. Our course combines both in a single itinerary, with teachers specialised in each part.
What if my Spanish is very basic?
All our options include literacy groups for complete beginners and individualised conversation lessons. In the trial lesson we set the plan according to your starting point.
Which PCE subjects do you prepare?
We prepare the subjects your degree requires. In the first session we review with you which ones you should take. See also our PCE – UNEDasiss page (in Spanish).
Can you adapt to my schedule?
Yes. We adapt the frequency and timetable of the sessions to your availability and intensify them in the weeks before the exam session.
Do you offer classes in person and online?
Yes. In-person classes take place at our Mantería centre (Calle Santuario 20, Valladolid), and you can also prepare from home on our own online platform.
Can I book a free trial lesson?
Yes. We start with a free trial lesson to understand your situation and suggest the most suitable itinerary. Email us at admon.manteria@mundoestudiante.com or call us on +34 983 52 50 01.
