Barbeito Method
What is the CUD?
The term CUD refers to the Centros Universitarios de la Defensa (Defence University Centres). They can be described as an innovative system created to make it possible to teach university bachelor’s degrees which, together with general and specific military training, make up the all-round preparation of future Army officers.
The degrees taught there are based on civilian engineering degrees, and are complemented by specific training in the military field.
Study support for CUD students
Students who join the various CUDs in Spain often struggle to adapt to the purely academic side, as their expectations usually lie in the military side rather than the engineering side. That is why they often need support in certain subjects.
The subjects that need the most support are: the three maths courses (the names may vary depending on the CUD), physics, chemistry, drawing, mechanics, strength of materials, electronics, circuits…
