First year of a degree is where most students get stuck: foundation subjects, a high pace and exams that don’t look like Bachillerato ones. We help with the subjects you are struggling with at the University of Alicante or the UMH, following your syllabus.

Barbeito Method
Get through your degree
First-year subject specialists.
Many first-year subjects stall because of a foundation missing from Bachillerato, not because of the subject itself. At mundoestudiante we find that foundation, reinforce it and work with your notes and past exams so you prepare exactly what you will be asked.
Support classes for university students
Calculus, Algebra, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Accounting, Microeconomics or Financial Mathematics, among others. We prepare mid-terms, finals and resits at the UA and the UMH, with sessions that step up in exam weeks.

Why it works
The Barbeito Method, applied to university.
01
Your syllabus, not a generic one
We work with your notes, problem sheets and past exams from your subject at the UA or the UMH.
02
Individualised method
No lectures, no blackboards. Your tutor pinpoints the concept that’s holding you back and rebuilds from the foundations.
03
Extended, flexible timetable
We adjust frequency and intensity to your calendar: more sessions around mid-terms and finals, fewer in quieter weeks.
04
Specialist teachers
Teachers specialised by area — science, engineering and economics — trained in the method, not students giving the odd class.
Frequently asked questions
What people usually ask us.
Do you give support classes for University of Alicante and UMH students?
Yes. We reinforce first-year subjects at the University of Alicante (UA) and Miguel Hernández University (UMH), following the notes and exams of the specific subject.
How does the support adapt to each subject’s lecturer?
We work with your notes, problem sheets and past exams, and follow the pace of your syllabus. The Barbeito Method first finds which foundation is failing — often something from Bachillerato — and builds from there.
Is your approach for university students different from other stages?
Yes. At university, students already know how to study, but they often carry over shaky concepts from Bachillerato (sixth form, ages 16–18) that hold back their progress. Our job is to pinpoint exactly where that block is and resolve it efficiently, without wasting time revising what’s already secure.
Which university subjects can be reinforced?
Mostly maths and science foundation subjects: Calculus, Algebra, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Accounting, Microeconomics or Financial Mathematics, among others. If your subject isn’t listed, ask us.
Can I combine lessons with placements and changing timetables?
Yes. You can come to our centre on Calle Reyes Católicos, 61, in Alicante, or take lessons online, and adjust sessions week by week. We are open Monday to Thursday, 10:00–14:00 and 16:30–20:30, and Friday and Saturday, 10:00–14:00.
When does it make most sense to get university tutoring?
Most students come to us when they realise they’re lost in a subject or aren’t clear on the introductory concepts. The sooner you start, the more time there is to consolidate the content before exams.
Is it useful for preparing a resit or second sitting?
Yes. It is one of the most common requests: we organise intensive preparation focused on that subject’s exam type and the topics that come up most.
How do I ask for university support in Alicante?
Call +34 965 02 62 23 or email info@mundoestudiante.com stating your degree, the subject and the exam date, and we’ll propose a plan. The first trial lesson is complimentary.
