What age do you need to be for the Grado Medio entrance exam in Alicante?
You need to be 17 or turn 17 in the calendar year of the exam, and not hold the ESO certificate or another qualification giving direct access. It is called by the Conselleria de Educación. In the first session we review your case and documents.
How long does it take to prepare the Grado Medio exam?
With a basic ESO foundation, three to five months with two or three classes a week is usually enough. If there are big gaps in Maths or English, it is best to start earlier.
What parts does the Grado Medio entrance exam have?
Three: sociolinguistic, with Spanish, Valencian, English and Social Sciences; mathematical; and scientific-technical. The final mark is the average, so a strong part can make up for a weaker one if you reach the minimum.
Can I combine it with a job?
Yes. It’s the most common situation for this kind of preparation. We adjust the frequency and timing of the sessions to your working day, and step things up in the weeks before the exam.
Is the Grado Medio entrance exam hard?
Not if you prepare with exercises of the same type as the exam. With the Barbeito Method we work on real papers from the first week, so you always know how much you still need.
