UNIVERSITY ACCESS FOR OVER-45s · MADRID
University entrance for over-45s
in Madrid
From 45 onwards the route into university is shorter but more personal: a Spanish language and text commentary exam, and an interview that counts as much as the mark. We prepare you for both parts.

Specialists in adult learners.
This exam assesses whether you can read, argue and explain why you want to study that degree. At mundoestudiante we work on the written part with proper technique and on the interview with real practice runs, one-to-one and without treating you like a secondary school pupil.
Classes for the over-45s entrance route
The exam focuses on text commentary and Spanish language. The personal interview is eliminatory at most universities, and you can prepare for it: what you’ll be asked, what is assessed and how to structure an answer that backs up your application.

Frequently asked questions
What people usually ask us.
Who can sit the over-45s university entrance exam?
The age and qualification requirements are set by each year’s official call. In the first session we review your specific case — age, previous studies and deadlines — and tell you whether you meet them and what documents you need.
How long does it take to prepare for the over-45s entrance exam?
It depends on your starting point and the hours you can put in. After the initial assessment we give you a realistic estimate of the weeks and sessions per week you’ll need to reach the exam session with time to spare.
What are the classes like?
We apply the Barbeito Method: no lectures, no whiteboards. A teacher works directly with you, pinpoints where the real difficulty lies and builds from there, with our own materials and official past papers.
Can I combine it with a job?
Yes. It’s the most common situation for this kind of preparation. We adjust the frequency and timing of the sessions to your working day, and step things up in the weeks before the exam.
Do you work with past papers?
Yes. They’re the best guide to what gets asked and how it’s marked. We do timed mock exams and mark them using the official criteria so there are no surprises on exam day.
Do you offer classes in person and online?
We have 13 centres in Madrid — Goya, Quevedo, Majadahonda, Pozuelo, Alcobendas, Alcalá de Henares, Alcorcón, Torrejón de Ardoz and more — and our own online platform for anyone who prefers to study from home.
What makes mundoestudiante different from other tuition centres in Madrid?
We apply the Barbeito Method, with more than 45 years of history, which allows us to maintain a 93% pass rate and an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 based on more than 850 genuine reviews.
Can I ask for information with no commitment?
Yes. We offer a no-commitment initial assessment session. You can email us at info@mundoestudiante.com or call us on +34 911 79 60 15.
