Cambridge exam preparation
in Alicante
A Cambridge exam doesn’t measure your English in general: it measures how you handle a specific format, with strict time limits and published criteria. That is why it is prepared separately, and in Alicante we do it with full mock exams.

Frequently asked questions
What people usually ask us.
Which Cambridge exam suits me, B2 First or C1 Advanced?
It depends on your current level and what you need it for: many universities and employers ask for a B2, and the C1 opens more doors, for example for some master’s degrees or exchange programmes. With a placement test we tell you which one you can sit with confidence.
How long does it take to prepare for B2 First?
If you already have a strong B1, three to six months of specific preparation is usually enough. If you start from lower down, it’s best to take a full course before focusing on the exam format.
Which part of the Cambridge exam is usually hardest?
Use of English and Writing, because they demand grammatical precision and sticking to the type of text asked for. With the Barbeito Method we work on them with structure templates and detailed marking of each writing task.
How do you prepare for the Cambridge Speaking paper?
In pairs, as in the real exam, with all four parts of the test and timed. This way students get used to interacting with another candidate and not only with the examiner.
Do you prepare Cambridge exams for children and teenagers?
Yes. We prepare A2 Key and B1 Preliminary for schoolchildren, often alongside school English, and B2 First and C1 Advanced for Bachillerato students, university students and adults.
