Which A-Level subjects do you prepare in Alicante?
Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Economics, following the specification of your school’s board (for example Edexcel, AQA, OCR or Cambridge International).
Are A-Levels valid for entry to the University of Alicante or the UMH?
Yes. Students with A-Levels access Spanish universities through UNEDasiss, which converts their grade. To raise it they can also sit the PCE, which we also prepare.
Are classes one-to-one or in groups?
The work is individualised: each student progresses with their own plan, at their own pace. Conversation sessions take place in small groups, because speaking needs someone to talk to.
How does the A-Level differ from the IGCSE?
The A-Level goes much deeper and demands reasoning and application, not just knowing the content. That is why it is best to prepare with past papers from the first year and not just before the exam.
How do you work on A-Level exam technique?
With the Barbeito Method: past papers by topic and in full, marking against the mark scheme and analysis of the errors that cost the most marks. Students learn to answer as the examiner expects.
