How do you study History of Spain for the PAU without memorising everything?
By organising the syllabus around major processes and linking causes and consequences, instead of memorising loose facts. With the Barbeito Method each block has its outline and timeline, and is reviewed in stages.
What kind of questions does the History of Spain exam of the PAU in Alicante have?
It combines essay questions with the analysis of historical sources, such as texts, maps or graphs. We practise both formats with past papers from the Valencian Community PAU, which is the one sat in Alicante.
How do you write a historical text commentary?
You classify the source, summarise the main idea, place it in its context and assess its importance. We train it with a fixed outline until the student does it fluently.
Are classes one-to-one or in groups?
The work is individualised: each student progresses with their own plan and at their own pace, even when sharing a classroom. That’s the foundation of the Barbeito Method and the reason it works with very different levels at the same time.
Do you support History in ESO?
Yes. In ESO we work on understanding the topics and on study techniques (outlines, summaries and review) so students reach Bachillerato with good habits.
