Barbeito Method
Extra support in Latin and Greek
Latin and Greek specialists.
Most translation errors come from morphology: a case or a verb tense wrongly identified. We secure the basics and then train syntax with texts from the syllabus.
Latin and Greek lessons
Latin in Year 4 of ESO, Latin I and II and Greek I and II in Bachillerato: declensions, verbs, syntax, translation with a dictionary, etymology and literature, with PAU texts in Alicante.

Frequently asked questions
What people usually ask us.
How do you learn to translate Latin without freezing?
With a fixed procedure: find the verb, analyse each word, group by phrases and only then translate. With the Barbeito Method we practise it on texts of increasing difficulty until the student applies it alone.
What is the Latin II exam of the PAU in Alicante like?
It centres on translating a text with a dictionary, along with questions on analysis, vocabulary and culture or literature. We prepare it with past papers from the Valencian Community PAU, which is the one sat in Alicante.
Do you teach Greek for Bachillerato?
Yes. We prepare Greek I and II, starting with the alphabet and morphology if needed, up to translating PAU-level texts.
Are classes one-to-one or in groups?
The work is individualised: each student progresses with their own plan and at their own pace, even when sharing a classroom. That’s the foundation of the Barbeito Method and the reason it works with very different levels at the same time.
Is Latin support useful if the only problem is using the dictionary?
Yes. Many students lose time looking words up badly. We teach how to use the dictionary quickly and to choose the right meaning from the context.
Can I take Latin or Greek lessons online?
Yes, at our Alicante centre, on Calle Reyes Católicos, 61, or online, with the same materials and follow-up.
