Barbeito Method
Study at a Spanish university
Your whole path to university in one place.
To secure your place you need two things: a good level of Spanish and a pass in the PCE. In Alicante we prepare both together, with continuous follow-up and our own method, the Barbeito Method.
One course, two goals
A single itinerary to reach the B2 level of Spanish that Spanish universities set as an admission requirement and to prepare for the PCE of the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), which will give you access to your place.
Your Spanish and PCE academy in Alicante
On Calle Reyes Católicos you will be guided by a team of specialised teachers, with our own materials and wide experience in admission tests. You can also join literacy groups if you are starting from scratch, as well as individualised conversation lessons.

Frequently asked questions
What people usually ask us.
What level of Spanish do Spanish universities ask for?
Normally a B2. The course is designed to reach that level: in the trial lesson we measure yours and work out how much you are missing and in how long.
What are the UNED PCE?
They are the Specific Skills Tests organised by UNED through UNEDasiss. Their mark counts towards getting a place at a Spanish university.
Do I prepare Spanish and the PCE at the same time?
Yes. At our Alicante centre you prepare everything in a single itinerary, with specialised teachers for each part who follow your progress together.
What if my Spanish is still very basic?
You start with literacy groups and individualised conversation lessons. In the trial lesson we see your starting point and decide with you when it makes sense to add the PCE.
Which PCE subjects do you prepare?
The ones required by the degree you want to enter. In the first session we choose with you which ones to sit. There is more detail on our PCE – UNEDasiss page (in Spanish).
When should I start preparing?
The sooner the better: reaching B2 and preparing the PCE takes time. We adjust the frequency to your availability and increase it in the weeks before each exam session.
Can I prepare online?
Yes. You can come to our centre on Calle Reyes Católicos 61 in Alicante, or prepare from home on our own online platform.
How do I book the complimentary trial lesson?
Call +34 965 02 62 23 or email info@mundoestudiante.com. We are open Monday to Thursday, 10:00–14:00 and 16:30–20:30, and Friday and Saturday, 10:00–14:00. In that lesson we assess your Spanish and propose the itinerary.
