Our story
A story that began in the classroom.
Welcome to mundoestudiante. In 1996 I started teaching, helping my father, with the hope of getting people to learn in a more dynamic way. Many years later, our pillars are consistency, determination and motivation. If you choose us, I hope we live up to your expectations; rest assured we will do our very best.
— Antonio Barbeito
Madrid.
This is where the Barbeito Method was born, devised by Antonio Barbeito Eiris and based on multiple private lessons. At 16, his son Antonio Barbeito Vila also began teaching and expanding the method across the 13 centres we now have in Madrid, in the city and the surrounding metropolitan area.
Many of our students are in secondary education (ESO, ages 12–16), Bachillerato (sixth form, ages 16–18) or university, and prepare with us for Selectividad or EvAU (the Spanish university entrance exam): our excellent results speak for themselves.
We teach science subjects such as maths, physics and chemistry, and humanities subjects such as Spanish language. We are also leaders in language teaching, mainly English, and in other courses such as study skills.
Valladolid.
At our Valladolid centre we stand out as leaders in maths: with our method you will get high-quality private tuition at reasonable prices.
Highlights of our wide range include maths courses for primary, secondary and Bachillerato, and maths lessons for children. University students are also an important part of our student body, as are the youngest members of the family, for whom we run English courses for children.

Why it works
What lies behind the Barbeito Method.
01
Our own materials
45 years refining notes, summaries and sets of exercises for every subject and every level.
02
Individualised method
The Barbeito Method starts from where each student actually is, not where the syllabus says they should be.
03
Extended, flexible timetable
Extended hours and sessions that fit around the school day and exam weeks.
04
Specialist teachers
Teachers trained in the method and in their subject, not students giving the odd class.

“Highly recommended. I hadn’t touched the Bachillerato syllabus for two years and managed to get the mark I needed for my degree. Convenient timetables, good teachers and a really pleasant atmosphere.”
Carmen Perarnau · Student
“A method I’d recommend one hundred per cent. Our daughter went from failing to getting good marks in a single school year. Ideal for all parents whose children struggle to pass any subject. Beyond the subject itself, the teachers teach children to face exams with confidence.”
Pilar Cabañas Utrilla · Mother of a student
