Barbeito Method
Raise your entrance mark
PAU specialists in Alicante.
There’s a gap between passing Bachillerato (sixth form, ages 16–18) and getting the mark your degree requires, and that gap needs work of its own. At mundoestudiante we prepare for the PAU for what it is: an exam with its own format, tight timing and marking that rewards saying exactly what the criteria expect.
PAU preparation classes
We prepare the access-phase subjects and the admission-phase subjects for raising your mark: Maths II, Applied Maths for the Social Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Technical Drawing, History of Spain, Spanish Language or English, among others. We don’t skim over the whole syllabus: we see what costs you marks and tackle it.

Specialist teachers
Teachers trained in the method and in each subject of the exam, not students giving the odd class.
Frequently asked questions
What people usually ask us.
What is the PAU like in Alicante?
It is the Valencian Community PAU, the one sat in Alicante. It has an access phase, with the common subjects and the specialism subject, and a voluntary admission phase to raise your mark with other subjects. Unlike other regions, it includes the Valencian exam, except for exempt students.
Can you prepare for Selectividad to raise your mark coming from FP Superior?
Yes. From a Grado Superior course you can sit the admission phase to raise your mark. We help you choose the subjects that carry most weight for your degree and prepare them at the centre or online.
Which PAU subjects do you prepare in Alicante?
The most in demand: Maths II, Applied Maths for the Social Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Technical Drawing, History of Spain, Spanish Language and English, among others. Ask us if you need a specific subject.
What are the PAU mock exams like?
Real past papers, in real exam time and marked to the official criteria. That way you arrive in June knowing exactly what each paper is like.
When is the best time to start preparing for Selectividad?
Ideally from the start of Year 2 of Bachillerato, combining the course with specific preparation. If you are already in the second term, it is still possible with an intensive plan focused on the subjects that weigh most.
Do you offer Selectividad classes in person and online?
Yes. You can come to our Alicante centre, on Calle Reyes Católicos, 61, or prepare online with the same teachers and materials.
How do I ask for information about PAU preparation in Alicante?
Call +34 965 02 62 23 or email info@mundoestudiante.com. We are open Monday to Thursday, 10:00–14:00 and 16:30–20:30, and Friday and Saturday, 10:00–14:00.
Can I prepare for the PAU just to raise my mark?
Yes. In the admission phase each subject weights differently depending on the degree, so we help you choose the ones that add most for the degree you want, for example at the University of Alicante or the UMH.
