Algebra lessons
in Madrid
First-year university Algebra is abstract from day one: vector spaces, linear maps, diagonalisation. Without solid foundations, you’ll find the university’s pace won’t wait for you.

Barbeito Method
Extra support in Algebra
Algebra specialists.
The jump from Bachillerato (sixth form, ages 16–18) maths to university algebra is abrupt, and hardly anyone explains it. At mundoestudiante we rebuild the foundations you need and move forward with the syllabus and exams of your own faculty.
Algebra lessons
Matrices and determinants, systems of equations, vector spaces, linear maps, diagonalisation, quadratic forms and Euclidean spaces, for the first years of engineering, science and economics degrees.

Frequently asked questions
What people usually ask us.
Which levels do you teach Algebra for in Madrid?
We teach Algebra at the levels shown on this page: university and university entrance. The plan is always tailored to the specific syllabus of your school or university and your teacher, not to a generic programme.
What are the Algebra lessons like?
We apply the Barbeito Method: no lectures and no whiteboards. A teacher works directly with you, pinpoints the concept that’s holding you back and rebuilds from there, combining our own materials with your notes and exercises.
How do you know what I need from the start?
We carry out an initial assessment to find out your real level and identify your weak points before we begin. From there we design the plan and keep adjusting it as we monitor each session.
Are classes one-to-one or in groups?
The work is individualised: each student progresses with their own plan and at their own pace, even when sharing a classroom. That’s the foundation of the Barbeito Method and the reason it works with very different levels at the same time.
Can you adapt to my exam calendar?
Yes. We adjust the frequency and intensity of the sessions to your calendar, with the option of stepping up in the weeks before your exams or the exam session.
Do you offer classes in person and online?
We have 13 centres in Madrid — Goya, Quevedo, Majadahonda, Pozuelo, Alcobendas, Alcalá de Henares, Alcorcón, Torrejón de Ardoz and more — and our own online platform for anyone who prefers to study from home.
What makes mundoestudiante different from other tuition centres in Madrid?
We apply the Barbeito Method, with more than 45 years of history, which allows us to maintain a 93% pass rate and an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 based on more than 850 genuine reviews. Up-to-date materials of our own and teachers who specialise in each subject.
Can I book a free trial lesson?
Yes. We offer a no-commitment initial assessment session. You can email us at info@mundoestudiante.com or call us on +34 911 79 60 15.
